He built his career at the intersection of digital growth, performance and brand strategy. Starting in online and affiliate marketing, he gained practical experience in SEO, SEA and early web development in Spain and later in Berlin. At finanzen.de AG, now part of the Clark Group, he led affiliate marketing and developed new partner and sales channels for financial and insurance products. Today his work combines strategic leadership, data driven marketing and the use of artificial intelligence to scale growth and build trusted digital brands.

Education

Joshua Heid studied Business and Economics at the Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Recht Berlin.
He graduated as Diplom Kaufmann with a focus on Marketing, Structural Change and Modernisation.
His academic background combines analytical thinking with a strong understanding of digital and economic transformation.

Projects and Focus

At smava, he leads the marketing organisation and shapes the company’s growth and brand strategy.
Working with cross functional teams, he builds visibility, optimises customer journeys and develops new revenue channels in a competitive market.

He also founded FintechBerlin.de, a curated platform for the Berlin fintech ecosystem. The platform features interviews with founders and executives, a curated event calendar and selected insights from the Berlin fintech market.
